Whirlwind.

*sigh*

No sooner had I posted that post about how much I HATE HATE Seattle (Which I
still dislike quite a bit) did I get a call from HRG saying "It's true,
somebody already took that apartment you were looking at, HOWEVER. There's
another apartment in that building that's opening up later in September for
$620 / mo. Call the property and see if you can see it!"

So I called and went and looked at the apartment. Totally disgusting, but
the guy just moved out of the apartment which he had lived in for quite some
time. The carpets were black (once beige) and ground down to a pulp, the
walls were stained and charred from cigarette smoke, the counter tops were
orange because they were from the 1970's or something, and just everything
was FILTHY. The mgr. said she was embarrassed to show it to me in that
condition, but if I was interested to go ahead and apply before anybody else
got the chance to.

and I did.

"The whole place is going to be overhauled. New carpet, fresh paint, counter
tops replaced, this wall is going to be sealed so it doesn't open anymore
(Used to be a murphy bed that folded into the huuuuge closet) and washed up
nice. It'll look just like the other unit you looked at." The manager is
really really nice, very helpful, didn't seem like she was just trying to
shove people into the building. The residents we ran into in the hall all
immediately said hello to her, some even struck up conversations and had
friendly conversation, etc. so it felt nice.

I'm really nervous about my current apartment manager giving me the shit
review when the third party verification calls them and asks for the rental
reference. I've never been late on my rent, ever. I hope they call my
previous apartment that I lived in for two years. I mean, my credit's good,
my rental history (prior to this place ) in IMACULATE, and ... goddamnit,
I'm not a bad person. If I get denied, I can appeal, but that's just a
longer process to go through.

I also have to wait until this shit goes through to withdraw from next
quarter at school, so I won't have to worry about school saying "He's not
enrolled next quarter, he's dropped out." because then that fucks my income.
(even though without the extra money I get from school if I was just working
full-time at sbux I'd stil qualify for this apartment...)

AHHHHHH!!!!!! I'm really, really shitting bricks about not getting approved
because of this shit hole that I live in now.

I should be more concerned about where to go on September 1st. Where am I
going to sleep on 8/31? in my truck? Where does one shower? I guess that's
my next goal.... get it figured out where I'm going to sleep at night. THE
MILLIONAIRES CLUB!!!!
